Very interesting experience wearing this Pigsy make-up. We decided that the make-up in the film could do with a bit of spicing up, so we experimented with flocking. This electrifying experience was quite stimulating & had  quite interesting results, as you can see.

“One Way Ticket To Hell & Back” was the winner of the Australian MTV Video awards for Best Rock Video.

It was great to work with Justin Hawkins, & I loved his ideas. The bald cap really worked  well, and he has got much hair! Great teeth work by Daniel Martin. Making icicles drip from his nose was fun!

This was a job for Hothouse effects, the faces were made in a new silicon, from life casts of actors. They had to be translucent and very light.

When approached by Hot House Effects, on how to make an invisible foe leave a mark on someone’s cheek, I came up with the idea that it would already be there, via a prosthetic. We had fun proving this, as the pictures show. Gerald Garcia was the actor and great fight choreography from one of this country’s greatest fight arrangers, David Foreman.

You may have been seeing these posters, on buses, all over London & on the internet. This advert was put together by a collaboration of myself & Bill Turpin. The subject was life cast. A Plasteline pulled out of the alginate. The belt around the chest was then sculpted by Bill, then re-moulded & cast in silicon. Then a Photoshop fit with the model. Resulting in quite a visual & pleasing effect, pinpointing the campaign by the British Heart Foundation as to how a heart attack can really feel.

This was our first “Bollywood” prosthetic.

The prosthetic was for a skin lightening cream for men, popular in India. The silicon prosthetic was used on his cheeks, & an additional mask was made to fly through the air, & another to explode upon impact with the wall. Silicon prosthetics were made from Platgel 10, prosthetic grade silicon. Our thanks to Maverick Productions for this very Indian experience. The director is Sanjay F Gupta.
